1. Our Commitment

OsteoAI Oy is committed to ensuring that the OsteoAI web application and website are accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and comply with the European Accessibility Act (EAA) 2019/882, as transposed into Finnish law.

2. Conformance Status

WCAG 2.2 Level AA — Partially Conformant

OsteoAI partially conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. The known exceptions are listed in Section 4 below. We are actively working to resolve all remaining issues.

Our accessibility audit was conducted in June 2026 covering the following components:

  • Login and authentication pages
  • Disclaimer and terms acceptance flow
  • Main chat interface (desktop and mobile)
  • Clinical response renderer (MessageRenderer)
  • Settings modal
  • Legal pages (Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Disclaimer)

3. Accessibility Features

The following accessibility features are implemented across the OsteoAI platform:

Keyboard navigationAll interactive elements are accessible by keyboard. Focus indicators are visible on all focusable elements.
Screen reader supportARIA labels, roles, and live regions are implemented throughout. Dynamic content changes are announced to assistive technology.
Colour contrastAll text meets WCAG 2.2 AA contrast requirements (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
Reduced motionAnimations and transitions are disabled for users who have enabled the prefers-reduced-motion system setting.
Responsive designThe interface is fully usable on mobile devices and adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels.
Form labelsAll form inputs have associated labels, either visible or available to assistive technology.
Error identificationForm errors are clearly identified and described in text. Error messages are announced via ARIA live regions.
Dark and light modeBoth themes meet contrast requirements. Users can switch themes from the settings panel.
Semantic HTMLContent is structured using appropriate HTML elements including headings, lists, navigation landmarks, and regions.

4. Known Limitations

The following known limitations exist. We are working to address these in future updates:

PDF session summaryThe downloadable PDF session summary is not currently tagged for accessibility. Tagged PDF support is planned.
